Don't Let Old Man Winter Keep Your Wheels From Rolling

As temperatures are dropping snow/ice on the roads is not the only concern for CMVs. It's time to be more aware of the dangers of ice in your fuel system and ice in your air system. Ice in the fuel can cause hard or no starts. The best way to prevent this is have you fuel filters changed regularly and add fuel anti-gel to your fuel tanks. We offer a quick and easy service to insure your fuel system is protected in the harshest of cold weather conditions. Ice in the air system can show many signs of it's presence, from not being able to build up air pressure, to frozen/non-releasing brakes. Having your air system freeze can not only make it hard to get your day going if the brakes wont release but it can also keep the brakes from working once they are released. Residual water in the air lines can refreeze after the truck is rolling and keep your truck from coming to a safe stop. It can also prevent your transmission from shifting into the high side. Best practice is to drain the air tanks at the end of each day. If you do not have air tank drain valves, come and see us so we can install some for you today. If you find yourself sitting with frozen brakes or unable to build up air pressure, give us a call and we will come to you to fix the problem.
